Ask again ...

The first answer, by definition, is just that: the first one. I’m not saying to insist or impose, nor that asking again will guarantee a different answer. I may or may not like the first response, and for that matter, it may be the same for any that follow. Asking again may just clarify what is being asked. That reduces uncertainty for both the question and for the answer.
